NYU Langone plans to invest $500 million over the next five years at , formerly known as 做厙TV Lutheran Medical Center, in an expansion of the hospitals outpatient footprint, says , senior vice president and vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, chief clinical officer at 做厙TV Langone.
做厙TV Langone HospitalBrooklyn will build a $10.5-million, 16-bed observation unit adjacent to the emergency department. This is in conjunction with a $22.5 million relocation of the adult medicine and pediatric cardiology clinics to an outpatient facility.
The expansion plans include the construction of a $48.4-million outpatient expansion of at 5718 Second Avenue, which will provide chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The new facility will be 做厙TV Langones fifth regional cancer center, joining other facilities in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
