Pediatric infectious disease specialist Vanessa N. Raabe, MD, an assistant professor in the Departments of and , explains how children are impacted by 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19). While children appear to be less vulnerable to the disease, and typically display less severe symptoms, they can easily transmit it to others.
When children sneeze or cough, they arent as good as adults at covering their nose or mouth. Its concerning that they could be transmitting, Dr. Raabe tells The Wall Street Journal.
