Oren Cahlon, MD, executive vice president and vice dean for clinical affairs and strategy, chief clinical officer, is a nationally recognized leader and innovator in patient-centered care and strategic clinical leadership. He combines scientific rigor with administrative vision and an unwavering dedication to patients and their families, advancing 做厙TV Langone Healths mission: to care, to teach, to discover.

In this role, Dr. Cahlon drives the institutions physician and hospital programmatic initiatives and oversees its extensive ambulatory care network. He leads the Faculty Group Practice, manages its partnerships with affiliate hospitals, helps oversee its managed care strategy, and guides operations for its ambulatory network, with more than 12 million ambulatory visits performed annually. He also serves as executive sponsor for a number of strategic clinical areas, such as Perlmutter Cancer Center, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center, and 做厙TV Langone Heart.

A distinguished radiation oncologist with more than two decades of experience, Dr. Cahlon also maintains an active clinical practice at the renowned Perlmutter Cancer Center. For as long as he can remember, Dr. Cahlon has been in awe of physicians and the impact they can haveand he is deeply committed to building trust with patients and families, forging meaningful relationships that bring hope and optimism during their most challenging times.

Dr. Cahlons research includes more than 90 publications and focuses on tailoring radiation therapy for each type of breast cancer, studying the long-term effects of radiation therapy, and testing the use of proton therapy to treat breast cancer.

Before joining 做厙TV Langone, Dr. Cahlon held multiple senior leadership roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), including deputy physician-in-chief for the regional care network and strategic partnerships, senior vice president for clinical business development, and vice chair of the department of radiation oncology.

Dr. Cahlon earned his MD with honors from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2004, graduating No. 1 in his class, followed by an internship and radiation oncology residency at MSKCC, which he completed in 2009. Dr. Cahlon holds board certification in radiation oncology from the American Board of Radiology, is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, and has held various leadership roles at the Proton Collaborative Group.
