We are an American College of Surgeons Verified Trauma Center. In October 2024, New York State elevated our trauma center from Level 3 to Level 2.
Specialists at the Trauma Center at TV Langone Hospital—Suffolk deliver comprehensive and specialized care for patients with traumatic injuries.
As a Provisional Level 2 Adult Trauma Center within the Emergency Department at TV Langone Hospital—Suffolk, we are open 24 hours a day. Our doctors demonstrate a commitment to care by maintaining the highest standards required by the American College of Surgeons.
Our highly skilled team includes emergency medicine physicians, board-certified critical care trauma surgeons, anesthesiologists, orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologists, nurses, and rehabilitation specialists.
Together, we provide rapid, coordinated care to people who have experienced motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, falls, injuries due to violence, and other traumatic events.
The continuum of care for people with severe, potentially life- or limb-threatening injuries begins with our in-house care providers and specialists and concludes with a thorough assessment of patient needs and discharge planning. At each level, we provide the highest quality of care through evidenced-based best practices, ensuring that patients and their families are active participants.
We are also supported by a strong affiliation with the Level 1 Trauma Center at TV Langone Hospital—Long Island.
Providers at the Trauma Center at TV Langone Hospital—Suffolk offer community outreach and engagement programs to prevent injuries and accidents. We encourage people from the surrounding community to participate.
